This evening Emma somehow managed to trip over herself, fall and bang her forehead right on the corner of the wall in the kitchen. Eli was in there and saw the whole thing and as soon as he saw the blood pouring out of her head he started freaking out and yelling that she was bleeding. Then Kayla gets to her and does the same thing. It did look nasty simply because of the amount of blood that was coming out of it but as we know, head wounds bleed a ton no matter how big or little the cut is!
Anyways, once JR and I got her sitting down in the bathroom and got most of the blood off of her face Kayla and I took her to the emergency room for stitches. After waiting for who knows how long in the waiting room and listening to some poor woman throw up in a tiny bag they gave her and all the other hustle and bustle of your typical ER they finally get us back to be seen by the doctor.
Fortunately he gave us 2 choices...we could either do stitches or Dermabond. I certainly didn't want to put her through the trauma of stitches if I didn't have to so we opted for the Dermabond. Emma did great through the whole thing because she is so dang shy. She wouldn't say a word or move an inch. She just stared at him while he got her all taped and glued together!
And all in all I think we were there for 3-4 hrs and we hadn't eaten dinner. So we stopped and got her a special post ER visit Happy Meal. :)
