This is a special treat for those of my dear friends and family who no longer have the joy of living with a toddler or who's babies haven't reached this stage yet! :)
JR was in Boulder tonight so I took the 3 kids to Souper Salad (their choice) for dinner. For those of you who may not know what that is it is an all-you-can eat Salad Bar/Soup Bar/Potato Bar and apparently chicken fajitas at night! These buffet style places can be a bit of a challenge with only 1 adult but fortunately Kayla is old enough to keep an eye on her sister while I go up to get my food.
So Kayla and Eli go up with their plates while Emma and I hang out at the table and wait. We sit at our table and there is a couple eating at the table next to us. Emma has a cup of water with a lid. Emma REALLY wants the straw (though she kept calling it a poon) out of the cup. Emma and Momma are in a bit of a struggle. Emma is holding the tip of the straw. Momma is holding the cup and a portion of the straw. OOPS! The bottom part of the straw comes flying out of the cup fully loaded with water. This newly formed squirt gun flings all the water at the man sitting behind Emma (the couple sitting next to our table) and of course I start laughing and assuring this man that it was just water. His wife is laughing and cheering Emma on. Phew saved from getting a beating from some poor stranger just trying to enjoy his salad!
Then it is my turn to go get food for Emma and I. Emma sees me at the salad bar and starts YELLING Momma over and over again! I kind of wave to her so she sees I see her but that still isn't good enough! At one point Eli gets up to get some dessert...Emma starts yelling HIS name. In other words she is a loud little girl who knows how to get ones attention!
And while on the subject of my crazy baby, I have decided she is going to be my little vegetarian. She really isn't a big fan of meat but sure loves her green veggies. She will willingly eat broccoli (cooked or raw). She loves peas and pretty much ate only those at the salad bar tonight. And she discovered honey dew melon tonight and loved that.

Life with a toddler is different than anything else, huh? Glad I'm not there anymore, however I like to see them with their parents...kind of a nostalgic, sick thing! :) At least she is cute -that's what I have to say about toddlers - that is why they are cute!
I think it's great you gave the guy a shower (he probably needed it)!
It's been years since I've had a toddler & I'm SO happy. They are beyond tiring but in the end, of course, it's worth it.
Enjoy! :)
