1st track meet

Kayla had her 1st track meet of the season (and ever as she has so kindly pointed out) yesterday. It was fun and exciting watching her team and her out there doing their thing. She competed in the 4x200 and the 4x100. She was also supposed to do shot-put but they didn't time that very well with one of the races she was in so she missed the call for that one. Those Irving girls are a strong team (they placed 2nd yesterday) and played against another very strong team.

Kayla is already talking about what she wants to do at next week's track meet. She wants to do long jump, 4x100 and the 200 meter dash.
And for those of you who don't know, the 4x100 is a 100 meter relay with 4 girls per team and the 4x200 is the same only it is 200 meters.
Here are the pictures that I got. I don't have the best digital camera so hopefully they turned out OK and you can kind of find Kayla! I did a short video of her actually running but it doesn't seem to want to post here!

Eli hanging out at the stadium waiting for Kayla to run

Emma say's "I just can't take the suspense". Actually it is Emma getting so frustrated with having to sit in the stroller for too long.

Kayla is the girl in the inside line bending over catching her breath! This was after running the 4x200

Kayla coming for some trail mix and water.

See that school pride?! And she waits until after the fact to ask if that makeup will wash off!

Eli in the hood, Emma and Kayla chillin yo! :) Emma is trying to get Kayla to cheer...we are working on teaching Emma to yell "Go Irving, Go Kayla!"

I had to share this picture because this cracks me up. Whenever we go for walks in the stroller she talks and talks and holds her hands up like this. It makes me think of someone riding a roller coaster!

This is how she looks to everyone else. It isn't as cute from the front because her arms are so short! :)
