Emma's bday party

Have a temporary fix for my internet issues so I am taking this opportunity to update the blog here!

We had Emma's bday party on Sunday and it was great! We ended up with 21 people plus our family of 5 and 1 straggler that was a bit late (but excused considering he lives a couple hours away) in our back yard! It was great weather (actually kinda on the hot side) for doing it. And of course the kids love being outside. One of my friends has 2 little boys that are pretty fond of catching bugs so they really had a blast in our undiscovered backyard! And one friend even had a bug land on her and just about gave us all a show! :) Emma got way more presents than any child should so we breezed through opening them. She was such a trooper. I would help her get one opened and take it out from in front of her right away and she would accept that and move to the next one! And then came the cake. Our Wal-mart gives the baby their very own cake to demolish so we stuck the candle in it, the wind blew it out which was OK since her real bday wasn't until Tue (and she can't do it anyhow), and we let her have the cake. She stuck her little fingers in the icing and licked them a couple of times and then decided she wanted nothing more to do with that! So we had to get her out and wash her up right away. There were only a couple of swipes out of the frosting and maybe a tiny bite of actual cake gone! But that is true to Trumbull form there! Can't be dirty! Here are the pictures from Sunday.

Here is Emma with one of her many presents

Waiting patiently for the next one to come her way....and watching what is being done

She loves ducks....so what a perfect cake this is!

This is what I call conquering the box. She loves to tip them over and sit on them. Forget the toys that came in them!

Yep, she got caught playing with a baby toy! :) It was reading nursery rhymes to her.
