I went with a friend and some of her friends to see the movie tonight. Yep, that's right, on opening weekend. BUT our show wasn't sold out thank goodness! I liked the movie. Didn't LOVE it. Just liked it. I really don't like the guy they picked to play Edward. He just doesn't match what I had pictured in my mind. They did do a good job of keeping with the book though. And with getting that 1st book in a 2 hour movie.
Afterwards we went for dinner and then drinks. I think I have found my new drink of choice....chocolate martini. Yum!

I have read alot of comments that the book is better than the movie...I still haven't read the book yet, not sure if I am going to or not!
Somehow I've only seen a few previews...and I agree - the guy they picked is not Edward. Of course, I don't think their Bella looks right either. I'm in the middle of Breaking Dawn and can't wait to have it finished. I haven't been wild about any of the books, but I have to finish what I started. I'll see the movie when it comes out on DVD because no one has convinced me that it is great enough to see in a theater.
Chocolate martini? Hmmmm...sounds interesting!
Of course the book is better than the movie and you are right about Edward...not the right guy. But, who would be the right guy? hmmmm....I just don't think they can do the book(s) justice.
I am going to see the movie b/c unlike that other Angie (LOVE YOU) I LOVED the books. LOVED them with passion (just ask anyone).
Come visit and we can do a martini tasting...I super heart martinis!!! Chocolate or whatever...YUM YUM!
I'm glad you had a good time. I bet Jerrie is silently (or loudly) cursing that she doesn't live near you so she could've gone w/you. I will read the books someday ... but I'm in no hurry.
